Cajun Schill made his first foray outside of Florida a winning one with a stirring 1 ¾-length victory in the $300,000 Calumet Farm Juvenile S. Saturday afternoon at Kentucky Downs.
Trained by south Florida-based Bill Kaplan for Teresa and David Palmer, Cajun Schill scored by 5 ½-lengths in his maiden win on July 12, when he tried the turf for the first time in three starts.
Away somewhat slowly, Cajun Schill settled well off the fence around Kentucky Downs’ sweeping turn.
